Business models are less durable than they used to be… [they] are subject to rapid displacement, disruption, and, in extreme cases, outright destruction. The basic rules of creating and capturing economic value were once very rigid. Companies tried to execute the same business models better than their competitors did. That doesn’t have to be the case anymore. Unlike product and service innovations, business-model innovations travel well from industry to industry

Issuers need to balance eCommerce payment transaction security and a smooth customer checkout experience. The crux of the matter is how to provide a seamless checkout experience for legitimate customers so they won’t abandon their transaction or use a different form of payment while at the same time stopping illegitimate attempts to transact. The use of behavior-based authentication to determine which transactions should be impacted by requiring the customer to go through additional means of authentication is critical for reducing customer friction while creating better assurance that the transaction is legitimate. Rules are an important component when providing this risk- and behavior-based authentication. When models are added, and used to guide the application of risk-based rules, the impact upon illegitimate authentication attempts can be greatly increased while the impact on legitimate customers is decreased, providing a better experience for the cardholder and loss reduction for

Good supply chain management is essential to your operational efficiency, customer centricity, compliance, carbon footprint, and ultimately, your overall success. If handled correctly, your supply chain should improve customer service—along with the reputation of your brand—and boost your bottom line. But, as with many areas of business, the rules of the game are changing. What’s changing? Well, everything. New regulations, increased buyer expectations, shorter product lifecycles, fluctuations in demand, new market entrants, more ethical supplier management, poor visibility of globalized supply chains—all these things, and more, are testing the limits of the traditional supply chain model. The simple truth is that the way things used to be done, and the solutions that enabled it, are no longer up to the job.

CA Live API Creator creates application back-ends exposing enterprise-class REST/JSON APIs, including access to existing data and applications. It enables developers to create new REST endpoints that join data across diverse data sources using a point–and–click approach. API owners can extend the API with declarative business rules, JavaScript event processing, role-based security and interactive testing. The CA Live API Creator Reactive Logic model yields systems that are highly scalable and reliable. Its optimized services run more efficiently and with less fragility than services manually coded by skilled developers and architects.

TicketsNow, a leading online resale marketplace for sports, concert, and theater tickets, has created a strong paid search program to drive visitors and conversions to its site, TicketsNow.com. In 2010, TicketsNow began using Kenshoo Enterprise to manage its robust paid search campaigns. Using Kenshoo's algorithmic rules and model-based bid policies, TicketsNow has been able to effectively optimize millions of keywords and double overall contribution from its search engine marketing. To build on its success with the Kenshoo Universal Platform, TicketsNow sought to expand its efforts into social marketing with Facebook ads.

A powerful signal integrity analysis tool must be flexibility, easy to use and integrated into an existing EDA framework and design flow. In addition, it is important for the tool to be accurate enough. This report reviews a validation study for the Mentor Graphics HyperLynx 8.0 PI tool to establish confidence in using it for power integrity analysis.

For advanced signaling over high-loss channels, designs today are using equalization and several new measurement methods to evaluate the performance of the link. Both simulation and measurement tools support equalization and the new measurement methods, but correlation of results throughout the design flow is unclear. In this paper a high performance equalizing serial data link is measured and the performance is compared to that predicted by simulation. Then, the differences between simulation and measurements are discussed as well as methods to correlate the two.
